Planting:\u003c\/strong\u003e Pomegranates need full sun, 6 to 8 hours of sunlight daily, although they are quite adaptable to different soil types providing there is good drainage. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOnce you've selected your location, dig a hole twice the size of the rootball and just as deep. Position the tree into the hole, backfill the soil, and then water the planting area well before spreading a 2 to 3-inch layer of mulch to help conserve moisture.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf you're planting in a container, select a pot that's about twice the width of your tree's shipped container and ensure it has drainage holes.
