Try the Bartlett or the 20th Century pear trees for pollination. Plant the trees 25-50 feet apart to ensure pollination.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlanting Instructions: \u003c\/strong\u003eChoose a planting location in full sun for best fruit production. The ideal planting site should have well-draining loamy soil with a pH balance of 6.0 to 7.0. Plant the tree in the early spring to provide it with sufficient time to establish a root system before winter.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003eDig a hole twice the size of the tree’s roots and just as deep. Place the tree’s roots into the hole and gently spread them out across the soil’s surface. Fill the hole with an an organic rich topsoil. The tree’s graft bud should sit 2 to 3 inches above the soil’s line after the hole is backfilled in with the topsoil. Tamp the soil down around the tree’s roots to remove any air pockets.
